Prawn Cakes

Fishcakes are my absolute fave comfort food, so making them yourself just makes them so good! Give these a try, they were super easy!

330g raw king prawns

2 spring onions

1 tsp fish sauce

1 tsp cayenne pepper

1 lime, zest and juice

A sprinkling of plain flour

2 slices wholemeal bread

1 tsp ready made breadcrumbs

Prep the king prawns, removing the black vein inside.

Blitz together the prawns, spring onions and fish sauce.

Mould the mix into patties and sprinkle some flour over the patties.

Blitz the wholemeal bread and stir in the cayenne pepper. Lay this out on a plate.

Take the patties and press into the bread mix to cover each side.

Heat some vegetable oil in a pan and, when hot, add the cakes. Fry for about 5 minutes on each side, until you can see the prawn has turned pink and the outside is nice and crispy.

Mix the lime zest and juice into a few tablespoons of mayo.

Serve with salad and some wedges.

Let me know if you give this a try! It was so satisfying!

Love, A x
