We’ve made it to the end of another month – what the hell? Time to evaluate all the great restaurants I ate in during the shortest month of the year!
Kingly Court, Carnaby Street, London
We were hitting town for some serious shopping and knowing we didn’t want that sleepy after food feeling, I decided some kind of ramen would be a great shout! Shoryu in Kingly Court is totally great, for starters the welcome you in the best way with a Japanese welcome and a bang of the gong!
We wanted to keep things simple so we both went for the Dracula Tonkotsu. Tonkotsu is their classic dish which is a gorgeous thick sauce, with spring onions, noodles, pork belly, mushrooms and seaweed! The Dracula came with a load of garlic… which may not have been the best decision knowing I would be spending the rest of the day speaking to people! Nevertheless it was seriously yummy. The vibe is really great in there, lovely atmosphere and really good value for money!
Westferry Pizza Co.
The Ship Inn, 290 Westferry Rd, Isle of Dogs, London E14 3AG
When I first moved to London 3 years ago, I lived in the Isle of Dogs which was a great location! The Ship was my local, my old stomping ground, if you like. It’s a great local pub, with a host of beers and a really great atmosphere whenever you go. It’s also pretty well priced. A great spot for watching sport!
The food they serve is pizza and it’s pretty bloody great! I love that they just picked one cuisine to serve at the pub and do it well, rather than a menu with a billion things on that’s kinda average! The pizza really is great, two sizes and decent prices and you can also add some extra mayos, which they change up regularly. We used to order pizza from here all the time!
This particular time I went for the ham and mushroom and the boyfriend chose The Blue Moo. We also went crazy and got a siracha mayo and pesto mayo (both excellent!).
You can order on deliveroo or pop to the pub and check it out for yourselves – it’s worth it!
14 Charlotte St, Fitzrovia, London W1T 2LX
I loveeee Thai food, I’d say it’s my absolute favourite if I’m going out for dinner. This place is in such a great location on Charlotte Street opposite the Charlotte Street Hotel. The food was soo yummy and really great value!
I went for a prawn aubergine and chilli stir fry with some cheeky vegetable spring rolls for the side and oh my it was so good! Others went for the Mussaman Curry and the Tofu Drunken Rice.
Happy March everyone! Love, A x
