I am really truly sorry about this one guys… once you’ve tried this you really won’t be able to stop making them and for that I apologise….
Honestly these are H E A V E N. And I could eat an entire pack of halloumi with no shame!!
1 pack halloumi
1 egg, whisked
25g-50g plain flour
Vegetable oil – enough for 1-2 cm in a frying pan
Slice the halloumi up into thin slices (about 1 cm wide and deep).
Put the flour in one bowl, the whisked egg in another and the panko breadcrumbs on a plate (use about half a bag for now).
Take a piece of halloumi, pop it in the flour and coat, add to the egg and coat and then finally pop it onto the plate of breadcrumbs and cover in crumbs.
Do this with each piece.
Heat the oil in the pan and when its hot enough add a few pieces of your halloumi at a time for a few minutes on each side. Keep checking and turn over when one side is crispy.
Done! A real easy and super tasty treat! Serve these with some harissa mayo or on there own!
